What will my hours be?
From January to April 15, your Cen-Tax Tax Services Franchise will be open six days a week on the following schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am to 9pm and Saturday, 9am to 6pm and closed on Sundays. During all business hours, you and/or a qualified manager must be on site to supervise the operations.
Do I have to quit my present job?
This in not recommended when you first start this franchise and actually isn't necessary if you have an experienced, reliable manager. You should, however, devote as much attention as possible to managing your Cen-Tax Tax Services Franchise. You are the only one who will be totally committed to your business' success. At the very least, you must be highly involved and provide the necessary leadership and direction to ensure maximum success.
How does financing work?
Cen-Tax Tax Services does not offer financing, but, we will assist you in developing a business plan that will help you obtain financing.
Do I need an related experience?
No, you do not need prior experience. Cen-Tax Tax Services provide the requisite knowledge and experience to help you become a business owner. Furthermore, we will provide all necessary training for owners and managers, plus ongoing assistance. With your commitment and our expertise, you will quickly acquire the necessary experience.
You will need several qualifications, however, to become a successful Cen-Tax Tax Services franchisee. You must be a highly motivated self-starter who is honest, determined, hardworking and able to work well with the public. You should be in good financial standing with sufficient working capital. And you must agree to comply with Cen-Tax Tax Services established policies and procedures.
Must I use specific vendors?
No, you can select any office supply store or discount store to purchase your computers and office supplies.
May I sell my franchise?
You must notify the Franchisor in writing of your intention to terminate, transfer or sell the business. The Franchisor has the right of first refusal. The Franchisor can also find another qualified Franchisee to purchase the business. If this right is not exercised, you may sell your business as long as the corporate officers of Cen-Tax Tax Services approve the potential buyer. All fee payments must be up-to-date and all proprietary materials must be returned to the Franchisor.
May I own more than one Cen-Tax Tax Services franchise?
Yes, you may acquire additional franchises. The initial franchise fee is less for additional franchises.
What if I want to have partners?
You may choose to establish your business with as many partners as you think is feasible. A partnership should designate specific duties and roles for each partner and establish one partner as the financial spokesperson.
What kind of insurance is needed?
You will need workers compensation and a minimum of $1,000,000 general liability coverage plus fire insurance for the premises. If you are leasing the physical premises for your business, your landlord my also have specific insurance requirements.
How will I know what to charge?
We will provide assistance in helping you create your fee structure based on the amount of work performed.
What type of assistance is provided?
We will provide on-site promotion and training to provide you with the necessary knowledge to start this business. After the startup, you can count on Cen-Tax Tax Services for ongoing assistance. For example, we will provide information on various tax changes and program updates.
Why do I have to complete a Franchise Application?
This is beneficial for both of us to determine if this type of business would be a good fit for you. We feel it's important that we have a basic understanding of your financial and employment background. In addition, we want to learn some general information about you.
Do you require personal references?
Yes, we ask that anyone applying for a franchise submit five person references.
What if this business is not right for me?
You can sell your franchise, with our right of refusal and also with our approval of the new owners.
Are you willing to send me a copy of the Franchise Agreement?
Sure, after some background work has been done, we'll be happy to send any prospective franchisee a copy of this document for his/her review.
